Pause Float Studio: Sensory Deprivation

Two words – sensory deprivation. Imagine being enclosed in a 7 foot by 4 ½ foot pod with no sound and surrounded by pitch black darkness.. freaky right?! As terrifying as it may sound, it’s definitely something you should try at least once in your lifetime. Located in Culver City, Pause Float Studio has an extremely welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment. Each pod room has a shower, towels, and anything else you may need to enhance your floating experience.

It’s encouraged to float with no sound or light, however floaters have the option to play the provided music and keep the calming blue light on. I dozed off for about 30 minutes, but then quickly realized how cool it felt to effortlessly float so I began to move around. What you do with your hour is solely up to you!

Floating is known for relieving physical pain, reducing stress and releasing endorphins in your brain. Everyone’s first experience is extremely unique, the best thing I found to do is to follow your breath and heartbeat and let everything else go.
