24 Hours in Santa Barbara, CA

I never knew I would grow to be the person to celebrate a birthday for an entire month straight, but somehow I ended up doing exactly that. To end this very long celebratory campaign, two of my best friends and I decided to last-minute book a hotel room through Hotel Tonight and head up to Santa Barbara! We already had reservations to frolic with alpacas on Saturday, so extending the trip to a night stay was an easy choice.

Where we stayed: VILLA ROSE INN

We were lucky enough to book a discounted last minute deal at the cutest bed and breakfast! The room comfortably fit two – we squeezed a third person in with no problem. Our room had a patio with a beach view. Breakfast began at 7:30am and ran until 10:30am. Check out was at noon and they were extremely accommodating for our late check in as well. We lounged by the pool while we ate breakfast and made a few friends who were also guests. Highly recommend this place! Book here.

Where we danced: WILDCAT

Oh goodness. We went to ONE bar and danced, laughed, sang along and closed it down. With intentions to go somewhere else, our Uber driver told us we would have way more fun if we headed to a bar named, “Wildcat“. Man, did we. The area surrounding seemed to be the place to go out, so I would start there and bar hop if you’re not completely feeling a dance vibe. However they do have a fun outside pool area and a few different bars! You’re sure to have a good time.

Where we brunched: Eureka!

Alright, $5 mimosas & bloody marys on Saturdays & Sundays?! Count us in! We had no idea where to eat and knew to just stay near State Street. So we parked (read all the signs, we got a ticket!) and walked until something looked appetizing. We were expecting to spend a pretty penny on brunch, instead we found this delicious place and our bill came out to $60 for three meals and two rounds of mimosas 😉 That’s a steal! See hours here.

**PLUS bonus staircase near it that is a definite photo op.

Canzelle Alpacas:

Best. Day. EVER. I have been dreaming of going to see the alpacas at Canzelle, and finally my wish came true! I’m extremely lucky to be surrounded by people who care and remember me mentioning this a year ago and actually bringing it to fruition in celebration of my birthday. I had an incredible time playing, petting, kissing and loving the alpacas! They really are gentle, fluffy and beautiful creatures. Admission was booked prior, tickets are $25 a person.
